about me

sara rosa

i have been passionate about art from a young age, using my sketchbooks to capture moments and thoughts.
my work often features watercolour paintings with a neutral colour palette, aiming to convey harmony and introspection. i describe my creative process as a mix of observation and imagination.

despite my age, i have participated in several artistic events, including a mural painting workshop in 2022 at externato de penafirme and collaborations with artists at the 2nd lourinhã comics festival in 2024. i also contributed illustrations to a collection of stories for ajudaris, an association promoting social inclusion through art.

currently, i’m studying visual arts at dr. joão manuel da costa delgado school in lourinhã, portugal, with aspirations to pursue a fine arts degree at the university.

at just 16 years old, i had my first exhibition, titled “efeito borboleta” (“butterfly effect”), showcasing my work in drawing, painting and sketchbooks. my exhibition, featuring around 50 works, was open to the public at the galeria municipal da lourinhã from february 14th to march 8th 2025
